WHAT I WISH I HAD KNOWN FOR MY WEDDING

Most brides plan their wedding anywhere from four to eighteen months, spending countless hours trying to create the “dream wedding.” The big day comes around and you think of ways you could have done it better. We decided to compile tips from already wedded brides on what they wish they would have known when planning their wedding.

The Cake. The average price for a wedding cake is around $400. That is an expensive piece of dessert. If you are going to spend that much money on a cake, make sure it tastes DELICIOUS. Brides often spend months pre-dieting for their wedding, don’t let that go to waste on average-tasting cake!

The Dress. A wedding dress is often times one of the more expensive parts of a wedding. Make sure to buy a dress that you feel comfortable in and that suits your body type. The dress should make you feel beautiful and not miserable all day!

The Budget. Despite the celebrity weddings we see on television, it is possible to have a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception without needing to break the bank. Most times, the most beautiful weddings are the simplest and full of personal creativity. However, your personal preferences are important, don’t let your own wants get overlooked!

The Big Day. Even though you have spent hours and hours planning this wedding, your guests have no idea what you think is “going wrong.” Do not stress if everything does not go perfectly. Focus on what the day is about—marrying the man of your dreams!
